James Godfrey

A native of Gordo, AL and longtime resident of Theodore, AL, died Monday, September 1, 2014 at home at the age of 92. He retired from US Civil Service as a Production Controller. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Claudy Godfrey and Bertha Lee Baines Godfrey his five sisters and one brother and the mother of his children, Gretchen Montez Godfrey. He is survived by his wife, Peggy Jean Hadley Godfrey his sons, Jerry Claud Brianna Godfrey, Jimmy Dan Janice Godfrey, Edd Miller Godfrey and Paul Edward Linda Godfrey his stepchildren, Tammy Taylor, Dewayne Taylor, Sonya Taylor Ken Moye and Catherine Denise Taylor Lyle Cooper, grandchildren, greatgrandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Furneral services will be held Friday, September 5, 2014 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home.
