James McDavid Holley, a longtime resident of Chunchula, AL, died Friday, July 3, 2015 at the age of 90. He was a US Army Veteran, a member of Bowen Masonic Lodge #240 and a retired Civil Service Inspector. He enjoyed gardening and fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents, John William Holley and Hattie Bertha Sawyer Holley; his wife of over 50 years, Nataline Carolyn Coots Holley; his step-daughter, Patricia Godwin Sanders and all of his siblings. His survivors include two daughters, Frances Holley Holmes and Marie Holley George; three sons, John R. Holley, James E. Holley and Ardis L. (Kimberly Diane) Holley; 12 grandchildren; numerous great and great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at 12:00 Noon from the Chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday morning from 10:00 AM until 12:00 Noon. Interment will follow in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
