James Lowing

James Robinson Lowing

A native Mobilian and life life long residence, went to sleep on this earth and woke up in the arms of his Savior. Jim was a graduate of Murphy High School, Class of 1967. He was a Vietnam Era Veteran, serving proudly in the U.S. Navy. Jim gave 43 years of service as an electrician to the Mobile Infirmary Medical Center, a job he dearly loved. He was a member of Azalea Hills Christian Church.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents Marian Rankin Lowing and Charles Robinson Lowing, and a sister Barbara Lowing Jarvis.

Jim is survived by his wife of 33 years Marlene Winstead Lowing and her daughters Anna (Ron) Hartley and Sarah Dunham Huett, a sister Susan Lowing and a brother Rankin (Elaine) Lowing. He had 2 step children from a previous marriage, Raylena Lewis and David (Angie) Greer, 12 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Thursday, July 8, 2021 at 9:00 AM with a chapel service to follow at 10:00 AM from Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Interment will be at Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
