Jamy Thigpen

Jamy Thigpen, age 61, of Mobile, Alabama, passed away Friday, June 28, 2019, at his home.

Jamy was a lifelong resident of Mobile and a graduate of Theodore High School. He also attended the University of Southern Mississippi. Jamy worked as a sales representative for Cray H-R-I Food Service, Inc. until it closed at the end of 2010.

What was always apparent to all who knew Jamy is that he was a vigorous Auburn Tigers fan and the words ”WAR EAGLE” were ever present.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Cynthia Thigpen; son, Cory Thigpen; father, Warren Guy Thigpen Jr.; mother, Peggy Lisenby Thigpen; and brother, Dale Thigpen.

Survivors include his sons, Jamy Thigpen Jr. and Conner Thigpen; daughter, Nikki (Ty) Patterson; step-son, Michael Manning; grandchildren, Gage, Brayden, Jocelyn, Brooke, Charlie Ann, Lane and Tate; step-mother, Anita Thigpen; brother, Warren Guy Thigpen, III; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Monday, July 1, 2019, at 12:00 p.m. from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow at Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
