On Saturday afternoon, August 15, 2026 Ms. Jean Wise Burroughs White, longtime resident of Saraland and Chickasaw, AL passed away surrounded by her family. She was born on November 9, 1940 in Mobile, AL and was preceded in death by her father Carlton Eugene Wise and mother Nell Ruth Smith Wise, both of Mobile, AL; her brother Donald Eugene Wise & her brother Richard Carlton Wise and her ex-husband Robert Thurman Burroughs of Saraland, AL. She is survived by her sister Betty Wise Lamey of Harvest, AL, two treasured children David Carlton Burroughs (Denise) of Bear Point, AL; Rebecca Lynn Burroughs Pugh (Gene) of Elberta, AL; Grandchildren and apples of her eye Michael Burroughs of Mobile, Steven Burroughs of Saraland and Rachel Wade Reeves (Golden) of Daphne; Eugene Cullen Pugh of Hattiesburg, MS and her first great grandchild, precious baby Judah Wade Reeves, who was born on Thursday, August 13, 2026. She is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends along with ex-husband and best friend, Cherokee White.

The family will receive visitors at Mobile Memorial Gardens on Three Notch Road in Tillman's Corner AL on Thursday August 20, 2026 from 9:00-10:00AM followed by a service at 10:00AM in the Chapel.
