Jim Mothershed

Jim Frank Mothershed, a native of Greenville, AL and longtime resident of Mobile, AL, died Friday, July 12, 2019, at the age of 89.

Jim was a US Army Veteran; attended Dawes First Baptist Church; loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting, country music and spending quality time with his family and friends. He coached girls’ softball and, for many years, he and his brother owned and operated Mothershed’s Furniture Shop.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister and two brothers.

His survivors include his wife of 65 years, Bobbie Nell Solomon Mothershed; his daughter, Brenda Mothershed (Chuck) Miller; his son, Randy M. (Renee) Mothershed; one sister, Dorothy Mothershed (Robert) Burdette; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 16, 2019, at 12:00 Noon from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 10:00 AM until service time. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
