Jimmie Lee Waller

September 11, 1932 — March 4, 2026

Jimmie Lee Waller, resident of Mobile County, Alabama and member of Grace Bible Church, went to his forever home to meet his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ face to face at the age of 93 years old. He was born on September 11, 1932, in Wayne County, Mississippi to James Thomas Waller and Ora Ann Waller and departed this earth on March 4, 2026.

After graduating high school, he was inducted in the United State Army in 1955 and served on active duty in Germany from 1955 to 1957 as a Field Communications Crewman. He married Wilda Odom on April 19, 1957, and continued serving in the Army Reserves for an additional six years. After 37 years as a machine operator at their Mobile, Alabama plant, he retired from International Paper Company in 1995.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Eva Hurst and brothers, Herschel, J.B. and Ernest.

Jimmie is survived by his wife of 68 years Wilda Odom Waller. Three children: Jane Moran (Devin), Jerry Waller, and Jonathan Waller (Sara). Four grandchildren: Kyle Moran (Montana), Kaleb Moran (Morgan), Isaac Waller, and Luke Waller. Two great-grandchildren: Hollis Moran and soon-to-be, Thomas Moran. Along with nieces, nephews, friends, and church family.

A special thank you to the staff, nurses and aides at Southern Care Hospice and Knollwood Healthcare for the love and attention they provided during the hospice phase of his care.

Visitation for the public will be from 10:30 am until 11:30 am on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at Mobile Memorial Gardens, 6040 Three Notch Road, Mobile, AL, 36619. A noon graveside service will be held at Serenity Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 8951 Old Pascagoula Road, Theodore, AL 36582. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that you please send donations to Grace Bible Church at 4500 Bit and Spur Rd, Mobile, AL, 36608.
