Joan Toomey
November 8, 1932 — July 28, 2020
Joan Castro Toomey, born Nov 8, 1932, in Galveston, TX, passed away at her home in Mobile on Tuesday, July 28. A long-time resident of Mobile, she attended Bishop Toolen High School and Springhill College.
Joan was predeceased in death by her parents, Capt Joseph M Castro and Lucy Castro, her husband of 62 years William S Toomey, and her oldest son Gregory Toomey.
She is survived by her children Brian (Robbie) Toomey, Joseph Toomey, and Kathleen Toomey Odom, 11 grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren.
She was dearly loved and will be forever in our hearts. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 4, 2020, at 2 pm at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Visitation will start at 1 pm. Burial in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
