John Harold Borgel, a native of Waukegan, IL and a longtime resident of Mobile died on Sunday. He was retired from the Coast Guard and was a Security Guard at Alabama State Docks. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth; parents, Harold and Jane; a sister, Barbara and brother, Jim. A loving father and good man, he is survived by two sons, Johnny and Chris; a special friend, Tracy Phillips; a sister, Susie Schlichting and other relatives. Funeral services will be held from Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Thursday, April 9, 2015 at 2 PM. Visitation will start at 12 noon. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
