Johnie Vernon Hall, Sr., a native of Wagener, SC and longtime resident of Grand Bay, AL, died Sunday, August 20, 2017 at the age of 82. Johnie was a retired US Air Force Veteran with 20 years of service; a retired mail handler for the US Postal Service; and enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie Hall and Jimmie Lee Jackson Hall; and his brother, Ray Hall. His survivors include his wife of 61 years, Julia Annette Smith Hall; his son, Johnny Vernon (Gina) Hall, Jr.; three daughters, Veronica Hall (Michael) Hewlett, Linda Hall and Shirley Hall; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 24, 2017 at 12:00 Noon from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 10:00 AM until service time. Interment will follow in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
