John "Jay" Manning

John Thomas “Jay” Manning passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 21, 2019, at the age of 45. A native of Mobile, AL and a graduate of Satsuma High School, he attended Troy University. He was a long-time employee of Chevron in Pascagoula, MS. He loved music, poetry and Alabama football but his greatest joy was found in his children.

A beloved and devoted father, he leaves a legacy of five children, Taylor, Seth, Claire-Ann, Anna and Addison. He is also survived by his mother, Judy Cave (Ken) Boucher; father, Thomas (Esther) Manning; sisters, Shannon (Toby) Brown, Tabitha (Sean) O’Neal and many relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held Monday, August 26, 2019, from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home and funeral services will take place at 2:00 pm in the chapel. Interment will follow at Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
