Johnnie Austin Turner, a native of Philadelphia, MS and current resident of Citronelle, AL, died Saturday, July 18, 2015 at the age of 78. He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnnie Turner and Lillie Mae Smith Turner, and his sister, Janie Ruth Salters. His survivors include his wife of 40 years, Patricia Ann Knapp Turner; his children, John Randall Turner, Gary Michael Turner, Kevin Ray (Paula) Turner Dianna Lynn Turner Richardson, Julia Overstreet Sullivan and Timothy Lee Overstreet; his brothers, William Monroe (Martha) Turner and JW (Elaine) Turner; his sister, Linda Jeanette Turner (Tommy) Brown; 14 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at 12:00 Noon from the Chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday morning from 10:00 AM until 12:00 Noon. Interment will follow in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
