Joshua Hilsee

September 22, 1989 — July 26, 2021

Joshua Harris Hilsee, born September 22, 1989, went to his eternal home on July 26, 2021. He was born and raised in Mobile, AL. He graduated from Murphy High School where he was on the newspaper staff. He subsequently attended the University of South Alabama and later received a Master's from Auburn University in Information Systems and Business Management.

He attended Forest Hill United Methodist Church where he served as an acolyte, was active in the youth group, sang in the choir, and participated in handbell choir. He also enjoyed going on several mission trips with the church. Josh was the longest employee at Jimmy John's serving in several positions over ten years. Later he became a parts and service support technician for Dominion DMS.

Josh enjoyed going on cruises, going to the beach, playing pool, gaming with friends, and he loved animals. Josh loved his wife tremendously and the day he got married was the happiest day of his life. He was happy when she was happy and he loved doing everything with her, from the mundane things like going for walks in the neighborhood, to more exciting things like cruising to Cozumel.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife Jamie, and two fur babies Coco and Bebe, Jamie's parents: James and Belinda Lynn, and her sister Rebecca. Josh is also survived by his grandmother, Jeanne Pulleyn, his mother, Karen Hilsee, his father, David W. Hilsee, his sister Rebecca (Matthew) Raehl, and his brother David L. (Jessi) Hilsee. He also leaves behind 3 nephews (Caleb, Lachlan, Micah), one niece (Bronwen), and many extended family members who loved him dearly.
He is predeceased by his grandparents, David and Jane Hilsee and Lyle Pulleyn.

The family wishes to thank all those who have expressed their love and care for Josh.
