Judith McLendon

Judith Diane (Wright) McLendon, age 78, passed away in the comfort of her home on January 23, 2026, surrounded by her loved ones.

Ms. Judith was a devote Christian woman with a passion for helping others. She and her husband were part of the Christian Motorcycle Association, accumulating donations for Toys for Tots, and ministering to the less fortunate and homeless in their community. Ms. Judith was very active in her church community, a member of Hollinger’s Island Baptist Church for 43 years. She is also responsible for the generous donation of land made for Bromley Baptist Church near Hwy 225 in Bay Minette. She will be best remembered as a loving Christian wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.

Ms. Judith was preceded in death by her parents, Rosa and Woodrow Wright; siblings, Ann Kindred, Gene Wright and Oscar Wright.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 49 years, Danny Michael McLendon; children, Tammy (Bill) Daley, Timmy (Christy) Gard, Tonja (Johnny) Stringer, and Joshua McLendon; 8 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren; brother, Charlie (Nancy) Wright; and her devoted canine companion, Molly; other relatives and many friends.

Services will be at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, with visitation from 11:00 a.m. until the 12:00 p.m. service time. Interment will follow in Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
