Judy McConnell Cox, 86, of Irvington, Alabama, passed away on July 1, 2026, in Mobile, Alabama, after a long battle with dementia. She was born on October 23, 1939, in Tallahassee, Florida, to James and Lorraine Revel, both of whom preceded her in death.

Judy was raised in Mobile, Alabama, attended Leinkauf Elementary School and graduated from Murphy High School. She was a devoted homemaker and real estate broker, served on the Mobile County Board of Equalization, and was involved in local politics. She loved gardening and was deeply family-oriented, a quality that defined her life and legacy.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Charles McConnell and Norman Cox, and by her sister, Angie Hammock. She is survived by her children, Kip McConnell (Trisha), Mark McConnell (Jerimah), and Harry McConnell (Anne); her brothers, Jimmy Revel and Torrey Revel; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and her beloved cat, Holly.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow at Serenity Memorial Gardens.
