Judy Louella Holmes

Judy Gollott Holmes, age 72, of Irvington, Alabama, passed away peacefully at home on April 28, 2026. She was born on January 24, 1954, in Mobile, Alabama.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Rufus and Theresa Gollott; her brother, Howard Gollott; and her sister, Evon Gollott Lowery.

She is survived by her husband, Ronald Holmes; her daughter, Karla Holmes Boyse and husband Shawn Boyse, and their children Samantha Orum, Bailey Boyse, and Caden Boyse; her son, Nicholas Holmes and wife Angel Holmes, and their children Zoey Holmes and Karlie Holmes; her sister, Diana Gollott Knowles; and her brother, Michael Gollott.

Judy was well loved in the Mobile County School system where she spent many years on the custodial staff at Anna Booth Elementary School. She was adored by the administration and students for her flare for spirited fashion, often adorning herself in fun & colorful scrubs to celebrate every occasion.

Anyone who knew Judy understood how fiercely she loved her children and grandchildren, as well as her deep passion for Mobile's Mardi Gras traditions. In honor of her vibrant spirit, guests are encouraged to wear their favorite Mardi Gras colors to celebrate her memory.

Visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., followed by a chapel service at 12:00 p.m.

Interment will be in Oddfellows Cemetery for burial and a small reception onsite.
