Kay Frances Mullis, age 79, was born on September 9th, 1946, born in Mobile, AL, and passed on April 2nd, 2026, in Mobile, AL. She was a long-time resident of Semmes, AL. Kay graduated from Murphy High School and worked at Springhill Hospital for 20 years. She loved Alabama Football, Smokey mountains, and traveling around with the love of her life for 59 years, her beloved husband. She also enjoyed taking care of flowers. Kay was a Sunday school teacher at Indian Springs Church of God and had a devout love for her lord and savior Jesus Christ.
She is preceded in death by; her beloved husband, Franklin "Jake" Mullis; her father, Alpine Sullivan; her mother, Mildred Sullivan; as well as her brothers and sisters.
Kay is survived by; her loving daughter, Vonda Mullis of Semmes, AL; her sisters, June Howell, and Peggy Crabtree; her sister-in-law, Jenny Sullivan; as well as her nephews, nieces, and a host of other friends and family.
Kay's graveside service will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Monday, April 6th, 2026, at Spring Hill Memorial Gardens Cemetery with burial to follow. Visitation will be held prior to the graveside service from 9 A.M. to 10 A.M. on Monday, April 6th, 2026, at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home.
