Kenneth "Ken" L. Nicholas Jr., age 64, of Semmes, Alabama, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2026.
Ken was born on July 19, 1961, in Mobile, Alabama, to the late Kenneth L. Nicholas Sr. and Patricia J. Nicholas.
Ken dedicated more than 40 years of his life to his work as a mechanic and served as the Lead Mechanic at M&N Auto Service. Known for his exceptional skill and knowledge, Ken was widely regarded by peers and friends as one of the finest mechanics in the Semmes area.
A proud graduate of Mary G. Montgomery High School, Class of 1980, Ken built a life centered around hard work, faith, and family. He was a faithful member of Holy Family Catholic Church and a proud member of the Knights of Columbus Council 4888.
Outside of work, Ken was an avid golfer and had a lifelong passion for fast cars and understanding the mechanics behind them. When he wasn't spending time with family and friends, he could often be found on the golf course or in his garage at home working on cars.
Ken will be remembered for his kindness, strong work ethic, and his unwavering dedication to his family and friends. Even during his long and courageous battle with Parkinson's disease, Ken never lost his smile, his sense of humor, or the love he shared with those around him.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 37 years, Veronica G. Nicholas; his children, Cameron K. Nicholas (Savannah B. Nicholas) and Kai A. Nicholas; and his cherished grandchildren, Raegan and Kennedy Nicholas.
Ken was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth L. Nicholas Sr. and Patricia J. Nicholas.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 1400 Joyce Road, Mobile, Alabama, with the Mass of Christian Burial at 11am at the church. Burial will take place immediately after services at Mobile Memorial Gardens, 6040 Three Notch Road, Mobile, Alabama. All are invited to attend the repast at Holy Family Catholic Church in the cafeteria following the burial.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Ken's memory to The Parkinson's Foundation Gulf Coast Chapter.
Ken's legacy of hard work, kindness, and love for his family will live on in all who knew him
