Lauren Brown

Lauren Kent Brown, 87, of Mobile Alabama passed away peacefully on Friday November 8th, 2024 surrounded by his loving family.

Born on September 8th, 1937, in Winterhaven, Florida to Henry and Myrtice Brown, Lauren lived a life filled with love, accomplishment and devotion to his family. He was the beloved husband of Betty Brown, with whom he shared 66 years of loving marriage.

Lauren attended Auburn University, where he developed a passion for engineering. He embarked on a successful career in electrical engineering, leaving a lasting impact on the industry and those he worked with.

A family man at heart, Lauren is survived by his wife Betty, and their two children: son Kenny Brown (Diane) and daughter Necie Cowling (Stan). He was a proud grandfather to five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. His daughter Necie and her husband Stan Cowling have three children: Anna Davis (Ryan) and their daughter Harper; Amy Davis (Graham) and their daughter Charlotte; and Allie Taylor (Matt). Lauren's son Kenny has two children: Collena Matz (Derek) and their children Victoria and Dalton; and Daniel Brown and his daughters Emma and Lauren Blake.

Lauren will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family, and ability to tell wonderful stories about all he'd experienced in life. He touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Lauren's family will honor his life with a funeral service on Thursday November 14, 2024, at 12:00 pm at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. His family will receive friends from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm.

Interment will take place at Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
