Obituary

Mrs. Lenora Virginia Mitchell, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Thomas (Bud) & Sarah (Sallie) Havard. Mrs. Mitchell, was born on September 29th, 1939, in Lucedale, Mississippi, and passed on June 14th, 2026, in Mobile, Alabama. She resided in Mobile, Alabama and was the wife of the late Grady C. Mitchell. Mrs. Lenora was an extremely generous, caring, loving, and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was always thinking of others. She loved to see her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and talked about them for days after seeing them. She often remembered back to her childhood days, telling how hard her mom and dad worked to feed and cloths ten children.

She is preceded in death by; her parents, Sarah (Sallie) Eilene Havard, and James (Bud) Thomas Havard; her siblings, Elizabeth (Lizzie) Ann Havard, Carrie Lee Havard, Rachael Louise Havard, James (J.T.) Thomas Jr., Alice Juanita Havard, Mary Maude Havard, Nealy Donald Havard, Wesley David (W.D.) Havard, and Robert Earl Havard.

She is survived by; her children, Bobby G. (Twila) Mitchell, Billy W. (Lynn) Mitchell, Glenda K. (Mike) Licina, Virginia D. Wade, and Rebecca L. Holley; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Mitchell's graveside service will be held at 2 P.M., on Friday June 19th, 2026, at Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery with burial to follow. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 12 P.M. to 2 P.M., on Friday June 19th, 2026, at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home.

Pallbearers: Bobby Mitchell Jr., Michael Licina Jr., Keith Mitchell, Thomas Havard, James Krebs, and Matthew Krebs.
