Leon Ray

Mr. Leon Earl Ray, a beloved member of the Mobile, AL community, passed away on May 14, 2024 at his residence in Mobile, AL. He was born on January 8, 1941, in Mobile, AL. Mr. Ray was known for his warm personality and kind spirit.

In his early years, Mr. Ray attended Murphy High School and later from the University of Southern Mississippi with a BA Business. He had a successful career and was well-respected by his colleagues and peers.

Apart from his professional achievements, Mr. Ray had a deep love for Alabama football, enjoyed playing golf, and cherished the time spent with his family. His passion for these interests brought joy to those around him.

Mr. Ray is preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Urna Ray, as well as his sisters Ann Vogtner, Dot Bates, and Betty Barnett. He leaves behind his sister Linda Littlepage, along with nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews, and a multitude of friends who will deeply miss him.

Services for Mr. Leon Earl Ray will be held at the Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home located at 6040 Three Notch Rd in Mobile, AL. A visitation will take place on May 17th, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM followed by a Funeral Service from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on the same day.

Mr. Ray's presence in the lives of those who knew him will always be cherished and remembered with fondness. May he rest in peace knowing he touched the hearts of many during his time with us.
