Lisa R Forsberg

Lisa Rouse Forsberg, age 63, was born February 6th, 1963, a native of Mobile, AL and resident of Montevallo, AL, passed away on Monday, September 21, 2026, at UAB Hospital after a brief and sudden illness.

She went home to her Savior Jesus Christ. Ms. Forsberg graduated from Theodore High School. After high school, she attended the University of South Alabama where she graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing. After graduation, she worked at USA Medical Center in Labor and Delivery and then moved to USA Children's and Women's Hospital. She was a loyal employee for 39 years and worked there until her retirement in 2024. She was a member of Woodridge Baptist Church in Mobile, AL, where she served as a 3rd grade Sunday School teacher for many years alongside her mother.

Lisa enjoyed jewelry shopping on JTV, watching OPL on Reelz, and watching mystery movies on Hallmark. She also loved spending time with her family, friends, and pets. She had a heart for animals and those who lost children before, during, or shortly after childbirth. She loved her church family and enjoyed serving them as much as she was able. Her career and friends she made along the way filled her heart with joy.

Ms. Forsberg was reunited in heaven with her parents Edgar Russel Rouse, Jr. and Joyce Carter Rouse, her husband Thomas K. Forsberg, Jr., her son Justin Thomas Forsberg, paternal grandparents Edgar Russel Rouse, Sr. and Marguerite N. Rouse, maternal grandmother Edna Wragg Carter, Great Uncle Clarence Hoffman, brother-in-law Jeff B. Eadie, cousin Sherry DeLassus Bryant, Uncle Bruce DeLassus, and Aunt Pat DeLassus.

She is survived by her sisters Karen M. (Tom) Falla, of Allen, TX and Laura R. Eadie of Montevallo, AL, her daughter Kristen Leigh Forsberg of Montevallo, AL, granddaughter Agatha Lynn Hall of Montevallo, AL, surrogate son Michael Lee Hall of Montevallo, AL, nieces Olivia N. Falla of Forney, TX and Caroline C. Falla of Seattle, WA, Christopher Bryant of Jackson, TN, David DeLassus of Littleton, CO, Mark (Carol) DeLassus of Medina, TN, and other relatives and many friends.

Her funeral arrangements are as follows
The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 3rd at 1:00 PM, with a chapel service to follow at 2:00 PM at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home; interment will immediately follow at Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery
