Lois Mcdaniel

Marilyn Laurrell McDaniel, our beloved Mama/Mamaw, went home to Jesus on Wednesday, July 6th, 2022 at age 88.
Marilyn was born to Paul Laurrell and Evelyn Pitts Laurrell on May 3rd, 1934, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Her siblings were Paul, Mike, Miller, and Paula Sue.
Marilyn met Luke Jefferson McDaniel, Sr., in Mobile, AL. They married and went on to have 10 children: Luke Jr. (Cherryl), Silinda Marie, Noel (Laurie), Margaret (Gerald), Ben, Brenda (Calvin), David, Cheryl, Anita, and James (Tonya). She was also a step-mother to Rose Marie and Earl McDaniel.
In addition to being a dedicated and loving mother, Marilyn loved the Lord, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved unconditionally. She was known for laughing until she cried and never acting her age. Her favorite hobby that developed in her later years was bowling. Most importantly, throughout her life, she held an unwavering faith in God, whom she thanked daily for all of her blessings. She saw God in the simple, everyday moments that most may take for granted.
As well as being survived by 9 of her children, she is lovingly remembered by 16 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
