Louise Gough

Louise Harris Gough, a native of Mobile, AL passed away on August 8, 2025. She graduated from Murphy High School, where she was a member of the National Honor Society and Alpha Delta Kappa sorority.

Louise was a longtime member of St. Mark United Methodist Church. She was involved in Mobile Mystic Societies, both as a past Queen of Inca as well as member of Cain Raisers. Her impact will be felt for generations to come through the many lives she touched during her 42 years of teaching Kindergarten and Preschool. While she loved all children; her own children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her most precious treasures. Whenever she was asked what her biggest accomplishment was, she always said it was her family.

Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Reeder Gough, her grandson, Dennis Reeder (Trey) Gough, III, her parents, Earl Dudley Harris and Anna Abrams Harris, and her sister, Betty Jane Harris. She is survived by her children, Dennis (Pam) Gough, Jr., Terri (David) Savell, Mike (Diana) Gough and Cindy (Dalton) Pigg; her cherished grandchildren, Chris (Ashley) Savell, Eric Gough, Jennifer Baker, Brittany Pigg, Ross (Ashley) Pigg and Tyler and Clayton Yakola; her beloved greatgrandchildren, Duke and Sadie Baker; her brother-in-law Charles (Ivey) Gough; and her nieces Kathy Rapier and Sharon (Jeff) Blackwell.

Louise was laid to rest on Friday, August 15, 2025, alongside her adoring husband, her parents and her sister at Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery following a private family graveside service.
