Millie attended Vigor High School where she was a Majorette. She loved twirling and participating in school functions.
After high school, she married and began her family. While raising four boys, she began a career at JC Penny's. There she quickly found she had a love for helping others. Chances are, she helped put together your clothing for Church events, date night, dances, weddings, and funerals. She genuinely enjoyed helping others look and feel good about themselves. Millie retired after 25 years of retail service with JC Penny's.
Millie was a Christian and found joy in spending time with her family and friends. She was a devoted mother. She was always proud of her children's accomplishments and gave loving support to them and they felt that in the love she provided.
She was a loving grandmother and enjoyed playing with Tonka trucks and hosting tea parties. She enjoyed seeing her family grow as the great- grandchildren joined the family. She enjoyed cooking, decorating, and caring for her animals.
Her family wishes to extend a special thanks to Springhill Home Health & Hospice. Ashleigh, Susan, Barry, Sherri, Cynthis B, Cynthis P, Kenya, and others have been a blessing to us for the past two and a half years.
