M. Alice Hufton
8 May 1920 to 1 October 2014

Alice Hufton was born May 8, 1920 in Oakengates, Shropshire, England to loving parents Herbert Bert Elizabeth Maude Morris. Her nursing training started at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on September 4, 1939, which was the beginning of a successful and fulfilling career with specialties including pediatric, home health, surgery, and midwifery. Mrs. Hufton met her husband, Arthur, at the Hufton family home Glenfield Headley Heath, Surrey, England and they were married in 1951 by a dear and longtime family friend Dr. Alan Redpath. They followed the Lords calling on their lives and immigrated to the USA becoming American citizens in 1963. Some of Mrs. Huftons life accomplishments included graduation from Mount Hermon Bible College, completion of the Oxford School Certificate, being a charter member of the National Association of School Nurses, and a faithful Sunday School teacher for over 60 years. Her biggest life accomplishment, however, was her family. A son, Stephen Sandy Hufton Mt. Horeb, WI, and twin daughters, Ruth Bealle Mobile, AL and Helen William Ward Starkville, MS. She had 8 grandchildren Alison, Elizabeth, Jonathan, Katherine, Stephen, Christine, Kimberly, and Emily, with 9 greatgrandchildren and 2 on the way She will be sorely missed by those whose lives she deeply blessed for many, many years. For we know that if the tent that is our earthly home is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. 2 Corinthians 5:1
