Mae Opel Walters

Mae Opel Walters, age 88, and resident of Semmes, Alabama, passed on August 22, 2023, in Mobile, Alabama. Mae was born on January 9, 1935, in Andalusia, Alabama, to her parents Ruben and Faxie Lunsford.

Mae is preceded in death by; her daughter, Carolyn Welch; her mother, Faxie Lunsford; her father, Ruben Lunsford; one sister, and three brothers.

She is survived by; 2 sons, Gary (Debra) Helton, and Kenneth (Lynn) Helton; 3 grandsons, 2 granddaughters, 7 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 29, at 10 A.M. at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to the funeral service from 9 A.M. to 10 A.M.
