Mark Patrick

May 3, 1963 — August 17, 2025

Mark Wells Patrick, age 62, of Mobile, Alabama, went to be with his Lord and Savior on August 17, 2025.

Mark was born on May 3, 1963, in Mobile, Alabama, to his parents, Lenore Patrick and the late Kenneth Wells Patrick.

On December 15, 1983, Mark married the love of his life, Belinda Ann Patrick, and together they shared 42 beautiful years of marriage. Their love, rooted in faith, was the foundation of their family, which grew to include three children: Nicole (Darryl) Young, Cory (Shelby) Patrick, and Kayla (Larry) Keene. Mark was a proud grandfather to Bear Keene, Brooklyn Patrick, Austin Keene, Katelyn Patrick, Kaden Keene, Jenna Gollotte, Joey Gollotte, and Rhett Young, and a great-grandfather to Maverick Turner. His family was his greatest blessing and joy.

Mark built a respected 21-year career as a Chemical Operator at Nouryon in Axis, Alabama, where he was known as a dedicated, hardworking, and caring man. He valued safety, looked after his "work family," and earned the deep respect of his peers.

Outside of work, Mark found joy in riding his Harley-Davidson, cooking for his family, and listening to classic rock music. But above all else, Mark was passionate about his faith in Jesus Christ. A lifelong Southern Baptist, he carried and lived out the words of his Savior. He often said: "Jesus said to love people, so that's just what I do!" His life was defined by loyalty, generosity, and devotion to his beloved wife and family. He worked tirelessly to provide, never turned away anyone in need, and ensured no one left his home without being fed and loved.

Mark is survived by his cherished wife Belinda, his children, grandchildren, great-grandchild, his mother Lenore Patrick, and his brothers Scott (Debbie) Patrick and Paul Patrick. He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Wells Patrick, and his grandparents Jack and Betty Patrick and Leo and Veda Eliers.

Mark's legacy is one of faith, love, and unwavering devotion to both family and the Lord. His presence will be deeply missed, but his testimony of God's love will live on through everyone whose lives he touched.

Verses that Mark held dear:

  • "So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." - Isaiah 41:10 (NIV)

  • "But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind." - James 1:6 (NIV)

Closing Promise:

"Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. According to the Lord's word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. Therefore encourage one another with these words." - 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 (NIV)
