Martha McDaniel Phillips, a native of Boyle, MS and longtime resident of Mobile, AL, died Thursday, April 23, 2015 in a local healthcare facility. Mrs. Phillips was a graduate of Memphis State College for Women in Memphis, TN and taught high school for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Battle Phillips, and a brother, George Otto McDaniel, Jr. She is survived by five children, Curt (Connie) Phillips, Inyce (Jay) La Pine; Michele (Jim) Stokes, Richard (Sherri) Phillips and Laura (Charlie) Lovelace; six grandchildren; other relatives and friends. A Memorial Service will be held from the Chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Sunday, April 26 2015 at 2:00 PM.
