Martin "Bud" Earl Hanrath, age 82, a native of Frankfort, Mich., and longtime resident of Mobile, AL, passed away on Monday. He was a Veteran of the US Navy, served in the Korean War aboard the LST 840 and vice-president of the LST *40 Reunion Group. Bud began his engineering career after earning his degree at Delgado and LSU-NO in New Orleans, LA. He transferred to Mobile, AL with Southern Industries. In 1966, Bud began working at Mobile Pulley & Machine Works, now known as SPI Mobile Pulley, where he remained until his death. He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Agnes; brother, David and son, Art. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Shirley Snyder Hanrath of Algiers, LA; daughters, Kim (Charles) Hamrick and Karen (Chuck) Williamson; grandchildren, Art, Dawn (Charles) Collins, Christina (Chris) Novak, Kaithlyn (Corey) Roberson and Andrew Williamson; great-grandchildren, Rachel, Brandon, Erin. Seth, Kyle and Ethan; also a host of other loving relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 10 am to 12 noon service time on Friday, December 11, 2015 at Christ United Methodist Church at 6101 Grelot Rd., Mobile, AL Interment will follow in Mobile Memorial Gardens on Three Notch Rd, Mobile, AL. Pallbearers will be Charles Collins, Charles Hamrick, Chuck Moorehead, Chuck Williamson, Andrew Williamson and Corey Roberson. Condolences may be offered at www.mobilememorialfunerals.com.
