Mary Anderson

Mary Jane Anderson, age 86, passed away in Mobile, AL on May 9, 2024, in the comfort of her home. She was born to Jose and Sara Ocequeda on June 22, 1937, in Monterrey, Mexico. She grew up in El Paso, TX where she met and fell in love with her husband of almost 50 years, William Joseph Anderson. Mrs. Anderson was passionate about fashion. She loved shopping and eating at the markets with friends and loved ones. Wanting to be closer to their loved ones, they settled in Mobile, AL after retirement and enjoyed 15 wonderful years surrounded by family.

Mrs. Anderson was preceded in death by her brother, Enrique Ocequeda.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, William Joseph Anderson; son, Noe (Esther) Wolberg; grandchildren, Ulysses Wolberg, Urian Wolberg, Esther (Alex) Hernandez, and Ismael Wolberg; great- grandchildren, Nina Wolberg, Elijah Hernandez and Jael Hernandez; nephews, Jose Ocequeda, Oscar (Brenda) Ocequeda and Joel Ocequeda; sister-in-law, Noemi Ocequeda; other relatives and many friends.

A service will be held at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Monday, May 13, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. followed by interment in Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
