Mary Lee

Mary Elizabeth Nicholas Lee, age 91, passed away Thursday, April 30, 2020. Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

She was born on July 3, 1928, in Mobile, Alabama. She attended St. Mary’s Catholic School and graduated from Bishop Toolen Catholic High School. Mrs. Lee was a devout Catholic her entire life. Her hobbies included sewing, cooking, gardening, singing, dancing, and spending time with family.

Mrs. Lee is preceded in death by her parents Thaddeus and Augusta Nicholas; husband of 51 years, Robert “Bobby” Lee; and one son Eddie Lee.

She is survived by her children, Tad (Tommie Jean) Lee, Linda (Vic) Mattern, Jenny (Ray) Noletto, Nancy (David) Chaltain, Andy (Theresa) Lee, Mark (Lynn) Lee, Paul (Deana) Lee, Tony (Paula) Lee, Ree (Bryan) Chandler, and Hank (Valarie) Lee; twenty-five grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

The family will hold a private graveside service. A memorial Mass open to the public will be scheduled at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Little Flower Catholic Church, 2053 Government Street, Mobile, AL 36606, or to the Alzheimer’s Association Alabama Chapter P O Box 41428 Nashville, TN 37204 (include a note in memory of Mary Lee).
