Mary Elizabeth "Boots" Box Jordan, 94, entered into Heaven on July 8, 2026.

She was born on March 24, 1932, in Winona, Mississippi and was a longtime resident of Mobile, Alabama, before later making her home in Pensacola, Florida. She was known for her caring heart, genuine kindness and gentle spirit.

She loved the color pink, spending time at the beach and cheering on the Alabama Crimson Tide with a heartfelt "Roll Tide!" More than anything, she loved spending time with the people she loved. She never missed a birthday and had a special way of making family and friends feel remembered on their most important days.

For more than 40 years, Boots enjoyed a career as a bridal consultant, helping generations of brides prepare for one of life's most meaningful celebrations. Her warmth, patience and eye for detail made her a trusted guide and friend to countless brides and their families.

Boots was a longtime member of Cottage Hill Baptist Church and faithfully served the Lord throughout her life. Her faith was reflected in the love, compassion and grace she showed to everyone she met.

She and Jim shared 54 years of marriage, building a home where family always came first and where love and laughter filled each day.

She is survived by her daughters, Gina (Erman) Wirtz, Michele (Robert) Bernhardt and Angie (Marcus) Queen; her seven grandchildren, Andra Dees, Jennifer Wirtz, Loran (Jeff) Morris, Lacy Bernhardt, Chelsea (Chris) Wynn, Taylor (Ryan) Boatman and Jordan (Kelsey Damron) Queen; 10 great-grandchildren; her niece, Janet Louise Lake and her nephew, Charles Germany, Jr.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John Alvin and Velma Burney Box; her husband, James "Jim" Oran Jordan, Sr.; her son, James "Jimmy" Oran Jordan, Jr.; her sister, Margie Louise Germany; and her parents-in-law, Howard and Mary Jordan.

Friends knew her as Boots. To her grandchildren, she was Nanny, and Jim was always Paw Paw. While she will be deeply missed, there is comfort in knowing they are together again. The memories made with Nanny and Paw Paw will remain in our hearts forever.

Visitation will be held Saturday, July 18, 2026, from 1 to 2 p.m. at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. A funeral service will immediately follow in the chapel at 2 p.m., with Tim McLain officiating. Burial will follow at Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
