Mary Nicholson

Mary Virginia "Gin" Nicholson, passed away on December 14, 2015 at the age of 93. She was born on April 19, 1922 and was a resident of Mobile for 74 years. She was a member of First Baptist North Mobile church for 65 years and served the Lord faithfully in Sunday school and the choir. She was very committed to bringing her children up to know the Lord. She was thankful all her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren are faithful and committed to the Lord. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Nicholson. She is survived by her son; Marx (Elaine) Nicholson of Mobile, daughter; Mary (Ernest) Sikes of Saraland; grandchildren, Carey (Amy) Dean of Chattanooga, TN, Kenny (Valerie) Dean of Sugarland, TX, Kevin (Maryann) Dean of Mobile, Keith (Sherri) Nicholson of Columbus, GA and Kellie (Aaron) Knight of Birmingham; great grandchildren, Victoria Nicholson, Meredith Nicholson, Emily Wigley, Madalyn Wigley, Blake Dean, Tanner Dean, McKenna Dean, Corban Dean, Kara Dean, Micah Dean, Zachary Dean, Tyson Dean and Charli Ann Dean. The example Christ gave us was that He died, and then He lived again. We want to follow this example by first having a graveside service for only the family at Mobile Memorial Gardens. Memorial services will be held on Friday, December 18, 2015 at 12 noon from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday 11 am until service time. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to "Birthday for Jesus offering" at Redemption Church, 1251 Industrial Parkway, Saraland, AL.
