Mary Doris Church Stuart, a native of Birmingham, AL and longtime resident of Mobile, AL, died Friday, September 9, 2016. She was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, James A. Stuart; her parents, Archie Wyatt Church, Sr. and Mary Hestelle Bayne Church; and four brothers, Archie Wyatt Church, Jr., Albert Jackson Church, Clarence Griffin Church and Billy Howard Church. Her survivors include her daughter, Anita S. (Arnold L.) Cink; her son, Thomas A. (Linda) Stuart; three grandchildren, William B. Cink, Lindsay M. Stuart and Alexander T. Stuart; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends. Mrs. Stuart was a true homemaker and caregiver to all family members. She particularly enjoyed sewing and quilting for many years. She had been a member and officer of General Walter E. Bare American Legion Post #43 Auxiliary and a member of the Mobile Genealogical Society. The family wishes to express sincere appreciation to caregivers Vikki Jackson and Anne Maples. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 14, 2016 from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 PM at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home followed by graveside services at 2:00 PM in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
