It is with great sadness to announce on September 19, 2024 was the passing of a very loved daughter, sister, wife, mother, and Mimi.
Michelle devoted herself to her family and church callings, and was a true disciple of Jesus Christ. Michelle served several callings in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints such as Relief Society President, Music director, Seminary Teacher, and missionary.
Michelle grew up in Richmond, VA born to parents Ruffin and Hester Henshaw. Michelle met her eternal companion in San Antonio, TX Lackland AFB as he was serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. They were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on June 9, 1965. They lived in various areas around the United States and world including Germany and Saudi Arabia. They celebrated 59 years of marriage in 2024.
She was a woman that will forever be 29 years old, with the looks of a movie star, infectious beautiful smile, the greatest sense of humor, and had many talents such as having the voice of an Angel. She was a good cook, seamstress, crocheter, teacher, listener, and made everyone feel loved.
She had a strong testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the power of the priesthood, the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon, the power of prayer, and through temples families can be sealed together for all eternity.
Michelle (Sweetheart, Momma, Mimi) will be sorely missed by her family and friends until we meet again.
Michelle is survived by her husband, Rodger Madison and seven children; Delene Madison, Charlie Madison (spouse Maureen), Ruffin Madison (spouse Jennifer), Rebecca Hill (spouse Mike), Kara Ikner (spouse Theo), Rochelle Brockwell, Sheena Stevens (spouse Coy). She is known as Mimi to 20 grandchildren.
Her family will receive friends on Wednesday September 25, at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home from 5:00pm until 7:00pm. Funeral services will be held on Thursday September 26, at 12:00pm at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints with interment in Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
