Mekala Skye Bonner Matthews

Mekala Skye Bonner Matthews of Odenville, AL passed away suddenly on November 22, 2023. 

 She is survived by her husband Zachery J. Matthews, her mother and father, Bridgette and Ryan Mason and her brother Alex Mason of Saraland, AL. Mekala is also survived by many family members and friends who loved her dearly. 
 
 Mekala was born in Mobile, AL and attended Satsuma Christian school through 8th grade and Satsuma High School where she was active in the marching band. After graduation, she attended the University of Montevallo. She married Zachery Matthews on February 3, 2023, and resided in Odenville where they shared their love of dirt track racing and Ford vehicles. Mekala was an animal lover, the more she had the happier she was. 

 Visitation is Saturday, December 2, 2023, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm. Chapel service to follow at 2:00 pm with graveside to follow. Everyone is invited to the reception at Satsuma First Baptist Church.
