Michael Wayne Dawson Sr., age 82, residence of Mobile, AL, was born on March13th, 1944, and passed on July 31st, 2026. Mike was an army brat and lived in many places. Mike joined the army national guard after high school. He was a hard worker, and an avid Alabama football fan (Roll Tide).

Mike was preceded in death by; his daughter, Tammy Christine; his brother, Ricky Dawson; his mother, Louise Dawson; and his father, Richard Dawson.

He is survived by; his loving wife of 60 years, Linda Dawson; his daughters, Linda Michelle "Missy" Dawson-Smith, and Brandi Elaine (Tony) Anderson; his son, Michael W. Dawson Jr.; his 5 grandchildren, Megin Christine Smith, Mary Danielle (Chris) Kukowski, Madison Elaine Smith, Dyland Anderson, and Sydney Anderson; his 3 great-grandchildren, Charlese Henley Kukowski, Dawson Joseph Butler, and one due this month; as well as many cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Mike's funeral service will be held at 12 PM, on August 6th, 2026, at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to the funeral service from 11 AM to 12 PM, on August 6th, 2026, at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home.

Pallbearers: Michael Dawson Jr., Dylan Anderson, Tony Anderson, Jonathan Morrison, Tom McGeehan, and Robert Mabrey.
