Miles Dewey "Paw Paw" Crutchfield-A native of Florida, born on February 2, 1923 and resident of Mobile, died on Wednesday December 9, 2015 at the age of 92. He was a proud veteran of WWII who had numerous stories to share. One of the highlights of his life was being a part 8th Honor Flight. Thank you to his guardian, Carl Roberts and Dr. Barry Booth. Paw Paw was known as the "king of all dancers" and lit up the room every time he walked in. He was loved by his family and everyone he came in contact with. You had better have a few minutes to listen to his "life" stories no matter how many times you had heard them before. He lived with his daughter Linda for 11 years and she always said he never was a "job but a joy" to care for. One of his favorite sayings was "I have felt better but it cost me more". He was a true hero and legend to all. He was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years "Babe", one daughter, Dorothy Dowell; 3 sons, Bubba, Emmett and David Warr; son-in-law, Vic Wamsley; sister, Flossie Huggins; brother, Eldon Crutchfield. He survived by 4 children, June (Darryl) Ballinger; Adron and Vonnie Crutchfield and Linda Warr Wamsley; brothers, TJ and Joe Crutchfield; son in law, Curley Dowell; daughters in love, Vedia Warr and Joyce (Norris) Rester; special friend, Sara Jane Cole; 22 grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren and 15 great great grandchildren.
