Patricia Sutton

Patricia Keller Sutton, age 91, passed away on Saturday, August 7, 2021. Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

Patricia Ruth Keller was born in Elmendorf, Texas on September 15, 1929. She graduated High School at 15 and worked in a secretarial pool through her teenage years. She soon met the man who would be the love of her life and married Hermon Sutton on June 5th of 1947 in Galveston, Texas. They started their family, Greg in 1952 and Jahn in 1957, then moved to Mobile, AL in 1961.

In Mobile, she worked as a paralegal in a local law firm. Pat's interests throughout her life were many: painting, playing a round of golf with Hermon, cooking, sewing, working crossword puzzles, and reading. She taught her granddaughters some of her skills in sewing, crocheting, and painting.

She lost Hermon, the love of her life, in 2012. Pat lived independently until the end. There were frequent trips to the library until Greg gifted her a Kindle tablet and her love of reading became more intense, often finishing three books a week, and working crossword puzzles - all without reading glasses!

Pat is survived by her children: Greg Sutton (Nancy); Jahn Paton (David), three grandchildren: Robert Sutton (Rebecca), Jennifer Andrews (Joe), Julie Hays (Adam) and eight great-grandchildren: Margaret and Eleanor Ruth Sutton; Caroline, Luke and Kate Andrews, and Lallie Patrice, Elouise Paton, and London Katherine Hays.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, August 11, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Friends planning on attending can meet in the west parking lot at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home to join the procession to the gravesite.
