Paul P. Platis

July 18, 1948 - August 27, 2026

Paul P. Platis, a dedicated husband, father, and cherished community leader, passed away peacefully on August 27, 2026, at the age of 78.

Born on July 18, 1948, in Atalanti, Greece, Paul was the beloved son of Eleni and Panagiotis Platis. In 1972, he married the love of his life, Ellen Pack Platis, on May 1st. Together, they built a life rooted in love, faith, and mutual devotion, sharing over 54 beautiful years of marriage.

Paul was a man of deep faith and conviction. As a longtime, active member of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, he poured his heart into his church and its community. His commitment to service extended into his proud work with AHEPA and AHEPA Housing. He shared a unique, unforgettable bond with his AHEPA brothers and held a deep passion for the organization's mission of community and charity.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Ellen Pack Platis, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and lifelong friends who will miss his warmth and steadfast presence. Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Eleni and Panagiotis, his siblings, and his precious daughter, Niki, with whom he is now peacefully reunited.

A service to honor and celebrate Paul's life will be held on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church. The family will receive friends for a visitation beginning at 9:00 AM, with the funeral service to follow at 9:45 AM. Interment will take place immediately after at Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Paul's name and honor to the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church or to the Penelope House.
