Peggie Joyce Welch Duplan, a native of Collins, MS and longtime resident of Theodore, AL, died Sunday, January 21, 2018 at the age of 88. She retired from A&P Grocery. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Paul Duplan, Sr; her parents; six siblings; a granddaughter, Brandy Halladay, and a grandson, James Ashley Cieutat. Her survivors include four children, Joseph Paul Duplan, Jr., Sherry Duplan (Peter) Daniel, Peggy Jo Duplan and Carol F. Duplan (Lyndon) Wiggins; five grandchildren, Allen (Diane) Huckabee, Steven Paul (Varlorie) Huckabee, Chuck Kelly (Kim) Huckabee, Joseph Paul Duplan, III and Eric J. Wright; numerous great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 26, 2018 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 12:00 Noon until service time. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
