Perry Wayne Forbes, age 57, a loving husband and father, went to Heaven on October 17, 2015. He was a follower of Jesus Christ, his Savior and Lord, and was a member of Luke 4:18 Fellowship. Perry loved the Lord with all his heart and was the first to give God the glory for any of his successes. He would often speak of God's faithfulness. Perry, a Mobile, AL native, was a friend, humble, generous, a great provider, good listener and a powerful source of encouragement. He was the sweetest, kindest man one could ever meet. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn; a daughter, Mckenzie (Harold) Nelson; a brother, Pat (Benita) Murphy; a sister, Kathleen (Jimmy) Murphy; other relatives and friends. Perry and Carolyn had 31 beautiful years of marriage together. Perry worked in the shipbuilding industry and was currently employed as a Senior Design Engineer and a ship construction operator for VT Halter Marine. Many of his co-workers became close friends over the years. Perry loved watching the Alabama Crimson Tide play football. Perry was a blessing to all he knew and will be greatly missed. Funeral services, officiated by Rev. Fred H. Wolfe, will be held Thursday, October 22, 2015 at ll:00 AM from Luke 4:18 Fellowship. The family will receive friends at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Wednesday, October 21, 2015 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM and at Luke 4:18 Fellowship Thursday from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM.
