Raymond Grigsby

Raymond Grigsby, a native of Perry County, KY and longtime resident of Mobile, AL, died Tuesday, November 12, 2019 at the age of 87. Ray was a US Navy veteran; was retired from Teledyne Continental Motors and, in his leisure time, enjoyed building race cars and fishing. He was preceded in death by his wife, Corine “Cora” Waters Grigsby; his parents, Hiram Grigsby and Creola Cornett Ashlock; and three sisters, Janice Szalka, Lola Heberling and Wanda Sissom. His survivors include his daughter, Traci Grigsby (Eric) Smith; three sons, Ernest (Wendy) Grigsby, Curtis Grigsby and Dwight Grigsby; two brothers, Forrest (Eliza) Grigsby and Mack (Cynthia) Grigsby; seven grandchildren, Jonathan, Brandy, Tristan, Alden, Amy, Jennifer and Kenny; 10 great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at 12:00 Noon from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday morning from 10:00 AM until service time. Interment will follow Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 PM in the Alabama State Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 34904 State Highway 225, Spanish Ft., AL 36527.
