Rebecca Bodden Davis

Rebecca "Becky" B. Davis was born in Mobile, Alabama, on March 5, 1947, and went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 28, 2026. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Davis, and her parents, Ashton and Fay Bodden. Becky was devoted to her children and grandchildren and had a passion for travel, Jimmy Buffett, Yellowstone, and Hamilton.

After graduating from Murphy High School in 1965, she earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of South Alabama in 1969. She went on to work for 36 years with the State of Alabama Department of Human Resources. In retirement, she remained active in the Fowl River community as a member of the Garden Club, the Women's Club, the Fowl River Area Community Association, and as a longtime member of New Hope UMC.

She is survived by her two children, Bill Gulledge (Teresa) of Mobile, Alabama, and Mark Gulledge (Meredith) of Canton, Georgia; and three grandchildren, Ashton Gulledge, Connor Gulledge, and Ansley Gulledge. She is also survived by her brother, Joseph Bodden; nephew, Griffin Bodden; and niece, Kathryn Bodden. In addition, she is survived by four stepchildren: Cheryl Smith (Jim) of Guyton, Georgia; Sheila O'Brien of Mobile, Alabama; Dennis Davis (Sylvia) of Mobile, Alabama; and Susie Bolen (Wesley) of Wilmer, Alabama; as well as ten step-grandchildren: Jennifer Hamilton, Janelle Will, Darryl Davis, Caitlin O'Brien, Candace O'Brien, Tyler Bolen, Carly Bolen, Evan Davis, Sophia Davis, and Nicolas Davis. She will be deeply missed by many others, including great-grandchildren, cousins, and longtime friends.

Becky's funeral service will be held on March 3, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, with Ben Mayfield officiating. Burial will follow at Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to the service on March 3, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
