Rebecca Ann Grider
September 27, 1956 - July 28, 2022
Rebecca was born on September 27, 1956, in Mobile, Alabama. Rebecca was the 3rd child out of five by the parents of Shirley and Charles Stewart. Rebecca was more known by the name of “Becky”. Rebecca graduated at Murphy High School and earned her Bachelor's Degree from the University of South Alabama. Through her Career, Rebecca was an LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) and an Administrator to a Nursing Home. Rebecca earned the title of “Chief Financial Officer” of a local Mobile business. Rebecca was a sole caregiver for her father for many years until he lost his battle with cancer. Rebecca was the kind of mom that would care for the other kids in the neighborhood. The kind of mom that would welcome kids that were hungry, needed someone to talk to, or to just play games inside of her home. To her nieces and nephews, Rebecca was considered the “fun aunt”. Rebecca would take her children on trips to museums, zoos, even to different states just to make memories to be ever long lasting. After retiring at the age of 58, Rebecca spent most of her time with her children and her grandchildren. Rebecca was the light in every dark room. She loved every one of us so much that she would make sure that we were okay before she ever was. Her heart was made of pure love and her smile could make anyone love her as much as we all did. On July 28th, 2022, Rebecca lost her battle with cancer. Rebecca was survived by her 3 siblings: Kathy, Dottie and Chuck and her 4 Children: Amy Morris, Randi Hussain, Terry O’Neal, and Raymond Grider. Along with her 4 grandchildren: Asad Ali, Hannah Elizabeth, Savannah Leigh, and Meryl Elizabeth. Rebecca’s life will be forever cherished in our hearts.
