Ricky (Rick) "Paw" Carlisle, 71, of Irvington, Alabama, passed away peacefully at home on June 9, 2025.
Rick was a true craftsman in every sense of the word. With an unmatched work ethic and a deep love for building, he devoted his life to construction, woodworking, and being outdoors. He built a life from the ground up-literally with his own two hands-and leaves behind a legacy of strength, skill, and integrity that many men would aspire to.
He is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Denise Carlisle; and his beloved children: Dean Carlisle, Jennifer Carlisle, Stephen Carlisle, Lauren Carlisle, Christina (Jacob) Coleman, and Jack (Mindy) Barnette. Rick was a proud grandfather, and his grandchildren held a special and sacred place in his heart-he made sure they always knew just how much they were loved.
Rick is also survived by his cherished siblings: Danny (Brenda) Carlisle, Dee Marty, Ann Sowell, Janice Tate, Audrey Hill, and sister-in-love, Wanda Carlisle as well as many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Aubrey and Estelle Carlisle brothers Wayne, Fred, Roy, Jerry, David, and Lonnie Carlisle, and his sister Kathy Bohannan.
