Obituary

Robert Alan Davis (“Robby”), 67, of Mobile passed away peacefully on July 19th, 2026. Robby was born in Mobile on September 19th, 1958, to James Robert Davis and Mary Ann Goodloe Davis.

Robby was known for his quiet, gentle demeanor and his love for God and family. He was employed with Mobile County Water, Sewer and Fire Protection Authority for 37 years then retired and returned to work part time for another 3 years. He loved collecting coins and watches, Hot Wheels, and shells/rocks with his grandchildren. Robby was a member of Travis Road Baptist Church for over 43 years and was a member of Men of Iron Bible Study Group. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed beach vacations and fishing with his family.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 40 years, Cynthia Freeman Davis; his daughter, Jessica Davis; and his sons, Joshua Davis and Jonathan Davis (Lisa Ferro Davis); his grandchildren Averie Davis, Remington Davis, Hudson and Hannah Davis; his brothers, Darrell Davis (Diane Davis) and James V. Davis (Dan Huggins).

Robby was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. James R. Davis; his paternal grandparents, Charles and Bessie Davis; and his maternal grandparents, Turner and Mary Goodloe and his father-in-law, Doug Freeman.

A visitation will be held at Travis Road Baptist Church on Thursday, July 23rd from 5pm until 7pm and a Celebration of Life service will be held at 10am on Friday, July 24th at Travis Road Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Robby loved the Lord with all his heart and the family is thankful he is now at the feet of Jesus. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the extended family, friends and coworkers.
