Robert Earl Davis, Sr., a native of Birmingham, AL and longtime resident of Mobile, AL, died Friday, October 7, 2016 at the age of 85. Robert was a retired Field Technician for Westinghouse; a US Navy Veteran; member of George U. Potter Masonic Lodge; a Lieutenant with the Tillman's Corner Volunteer Fire Department; and a member of the Alabama Civil Air Patrol. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rillar F. Davis and Mary Elizabeth Eddings Davis; and his brother, Ronald Davis. His survivors include his wife of 65 years, Elizabeth Earldine Lisenby Davis; six children, Robert Earl Davis, Jr., Karen Davis-O'Shea, Stephen Andrew Davis, Randall Alan (Belinda) Davis, Timothy Paul (Teresa) Davis and Cheryl Kimberly Davis (Duane) Walley; his sister, Rose Marie Davis (Delbert) Forrest; 17 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends. Funeral services, officiated by Rev. Kenneth Dykes, will be held Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at 12:00 Noon from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 10:00 AM until service time. Interment will follow in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
