Robin O'Connor

Robin Michael O'Connor, 72, passed away on August 20, 2025, in Semmes, Alabama. Born on March 11, 1953, in Alabama. Robin lived a life marked by quiet strength, dedication to his family, and a deep appreciation for simple joys.
Robin devoted over three decades of his life to Ingalls Shipyard, where he built a respected career through hard work and commitment. Outside of his professional life, he found satisfaction in working on cars-a pastime that reflected both his mechanical skill and his patient nature.
A devoted father and grandfather, Robin is survived by his son Timothy (Nicole) O'Connor and daughter Andrea (Waylon) Howell. He leaves behind grandchildren Gwen O'Connor; Randy Howell; Brittany, Brooke, and Brianna Waldie; Damean, Kyla, Hunter, and Talyn Hosey; as well as great-grandsons Connor O'Connor and Bryson Peyton. His ex-wife Cynthia Roberts also survives him. Robin was preceded in death by his daughter Jennifer Waldie and his parents.
Those who knew Robin will remember him as a quiet man with a gentle spirit. He loved watching sports-especially cheering on Alabama-and enjoyed relaxing with a good movie. Walking Roman, the family dog, brought him peace and companionship. He had an eye for collecting flashlights and pocket knives and was known for his sweet tooth-favoring Reese's Cups, Hostess Cupcakes, Twinkies, peach dump cake and an ice-cold Coke from a glass bottle. Mint green was his favorite color-a small but telling detail that added to the unique fabric of who he was.
Robin's legacy lives on in the hearts of those who loved him. May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him.
